Ban on Turkish Airlines flights to U.S lifted

Today the Federal Aviation Administration lifted the ban on Turkish Airlines flights to the U.S. that it imposed last week during the coup attempt.

Flights to/from U.S. cities are expected to resume on Tuesday. An airline spokesperson tells us that the first U.S. flight will depart on Tuesday, July 19 at 6:45 a.m. for New York-Kennedy.


Turkish flies nonstop from Istanbul to Atlanta, Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, San Francisco and Washington DC.

You can watch flight traffic over Istanbul here which shows flights from IST to other countries has already resumed– US flights should appear by tomorrow.
